Summary of the Competition Council Decizion no. 12/18-11 as of 16.04.2021

On 07.02.2018, there was filed a complaint by "Casa Media Corp" LLC concerning the alleged unfair competition actions realized by "TV-Comunicații Grup" LLC.

According to the facts invoked in the complaint, the alleged unfair competition actions realized by "TV-Comunicații Grup" LLC are manifested by discrediting its competitor, by spread of false statements about the activity of "Casa Media Corp" LLC in relation to the beneficiaries of advertising and advertising agencies, actions that are aimed to denigrate the image and to embezzle the client's customers, facts which indicate on the signs of violation of art. 15 and 18 of the Law on competition.

Following the investigation, the Plenum of the Competition Council found that the company "TV-Comunicații Grup" LLC has discredited its competitor by spreading false information about the activity of "Casa Media Corp" LLC, actions which endanger its reputation and credibility, being likely to harm the legitimate interests of the complainant.
