On 27 September 2013 the Decision of the Plenum of the Competition Councilno 15 as of 30 August 2013 (Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova no 213-215 as of 13.09.2013) entered into force, approving the Regulation on on the assessment of anticompetitive technology transfer agreements.
The Regulation at issue transposed the European norms related to the domain in question and sets the general framework for assessing the technology transfer agreements which are covered by art.5 para.(1) from the Law on competition no 183 as of 11.07.2012 (hereinafter Law), the enforcement of individual exemption of technology transfer agreements under art.6 para.(1) from the Law and block exemption thereof under art.6 para. (3) from the Law.
Competition Council is an autonomous public authority, responsible to the Parliament, which ensures the application and compliance with the legislation in the field of competition, state aid and advertising within the limits of its competence. The Competition Council ensures that all commercial entities play by fair and equal rules.
