On February 4, 2014, Mrs. Viorica CARARE, President of the Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova was on a working visit in Orhei .
The main subjects of the meeting were the implementation of the Law on state aid, methods of state aid granting, forms criteria and its beneficiaries.
The discussions were attended by the heads of departments, directories of the District Council, mayor of the Orhei, mayors of the villages and communes of the district and local councilÙs secretaries, the presence constituted 95 percent. During the meeting the sides exchanged information, establishing mechanisms of state aid identification.
“Law on State aid and its provisions are less known to the society. It can become more efficient, and its implementation more faster, by discussing it with providers of state aid in this particular case with local public authorities ” – said Mrs. Viorica CARARE.
Also President of the Council stressed the importance of the correct application of this law, and warned that any state aid that will be granted will be authorized by to the Competition Council.
Law on State Aid entered into force on 16 August 2013. It establishes the legal framework for the authorization, monitoring and reporting of state aid granted to beneficiaries in all sectors of the national economy, excluding agriculture, in order to maintain a normal competitive environment.
