A group of young civic activists and representatives of local NGO s from Balti were informed about the general notions of competition, state aid and legal provisions in the field during the meeting of the working group for monitoring local public procurement.
The event took place on Monday, January 22nd, 2018, in Balti, and brought together representatives of the City Hall of Balti, representatives of local NGO s and civic activists. The Competition Council was represented by Ms. Ala CUCU, State Controller, from the Northern Territorial Office, who answered questions and provided participants with information on the Competition Council s attributions, frequent cases of violation of competition law examined by the authority, especially in the field of public procurement, applied penalties, leniency policy and state aid law provisions etc.
The event was financed by NED, a project implemented by the Association for Efficient and Responsible Governance (AGER), whose regional partner is AO ” Human Rights Association LEX XXI.”
