On Tuesday, December 19th, a new meeting was held dedicated to the implementation of the National Competition and State Aid Program for 2017-2020, with the participation of representatives of the Agency for Public Services. It is worth noting that the Agency for Public Services offers a wide range of public services under exclusive law framework.
The main topics discussed at the meeting focused on the realization of 1st – 4th points (optimization of exclusive rights) from the Action Plan regarding the implementation of the Program, such as: aspects regarding the provided services, the methodology of calculating tariffs and the revenue obtained from them, for each Department of the Agency for Public Services, perspectives for improvement, etc.
At the same time, we would like to point out that the specialized central public authorities, the local public administration, the regulating and controlling authorities, within their competences will identify anticompetitive barriers and actions to remove them and will present to the Competition Council, by January 15th, information on the implementation of the Program.
