Recently, the World Bank Group made public the news related to the selection of winners in the contest Action for promoting competiton for 2013.

     The Competition Councilof the Republic of Moldova was selected for the Honorable endorsement, in the category “Increasing awareness of stakeholders from the private sector and consumers’ ability to deter anti-competitive practices “.

     The goal of this contest was to underline the role of competition authorities in promoting the competition culture. Success stories of competition authorities worldwide were presented at the contest.  The Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova presented its story as well.

     The success stories focused on activities carried out by competition authorities in view of promoting and encouraging a competitive business environment not by means of constraint but by means of promoting relationship with other public entities and by raising awareness of the society as to the competition benefits.
