Between July 13 to 26, 2014, in Bucharest (Romania) was held training in state aid for the representatives of the Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova at the Competition Council of Romania. In this training participated Olesea GROSU Head of the Directorate of Record and Reporting of State Aid and Dumitru GIRDEA Deputy Head of Directorate for State Sectoral Aid .

     The purpose of the nominated training, organized with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, in partnership with United Nations Development Programme – UNDP, resided in improving the capacity of the Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova on the application of state aid rules.

     In this regard, during the event were discussed important steps in the application of state aid legislation, namely: assessment of state aid, monitoring and reporting state aid performed by the Competition Council of Romania before and after accession to the European Union compatibility of State aid schemes, and other actions of this kind.

     A special aspect of this training was the involvement of experts from Republic of Moldova to the current activity of the competition authority in Romania in order to identify possible measures of state aid and assist providers.

     At the same time, during the training period, representatives of the Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova participated in a meeting with state aid experts from the Ministry of  Public Finance, where the hosts have shared with trainees  authorityĂ™s experience on state aid granting, presented state aid schemes  and de minimis, and experience in monitoring of granted state aid.

     This training is a continuation of the cooperation of competition authorities of the Republic of Moldova and Romania, in order to improve the capacity of law enforcement, which is specific for competition and state aid, as well as the adaptation of legislation of the Republic of Moldova to legislation of European Union.
