Right now we are in a direct dialogue with the business community within the Competition CaFÉ platform, organized in partnership with the European Business Association (EBA MOLDOVA).The event was opened by Mr. Thomas MOSER, the President of the European Business Association and Mrs. Viorica CĂRARE, the President of the Competition Council, who mentioned the importance of these meetings and discussions, which offer the opportunity to openly address the problems and challenges facing the business community and identify solutions to overcome them.It is very important for the business community to realize that the development and maintenance of a loyal competitive environment is an important mission, which can only be ensured through joint efforts by business and state authorities, which will ensure the balance and fairness in the relationship of economic agents “, Ms. CĂRARE stressed.In this context, Ms Diana LAPTEACRU, Head of Abuse of Dominant Position Department, presented to the participants the European tool for competition policy – the commitments. In particular, issues related to the regulatory framework, scope, procedural aspects, examination phases, impact and importance were addressed.
“The commitments are an exceptional procedure that makes it possible to restore effective competition on the market without applying sanctioning measures,” Ms. CĂRARE said.The event is attended by more than 25 business representatives who will be able to address questions and be actively involved in discussions and debates on the application of the new competition law mechanisms.
