On Tuesday, March 17 2015, The Competition Council has organized a seminar for the Ukrainian delegation, on the implementation of state aid in the energy sector.

The event was held with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Economy of Moldova, who spoke about the modernization of the energy sector in Moldova, after signing the MD-EU Association Agreement and the Treaty establishing the Energy Community. Moldovan experts have presented the Energy Strategy of the Republic of Moldova until 2030 and the plans for implementing EUÙs Third Energy Package. The seminar participants have discussed about the competitive environment in the energy markets and the perspectives for renewable energy development in both countries.

Also, during the seminar there has been analyzed the State Aid scheme for energy efficiency and exploitation of renewable energy resources, notified to the Competition Council.

The Competition Council experts have shared their experience in monitoring the state aid inventory and have presented the IT platform for reporting and notification of state aid (SIRASM).

The event ended with free discussions between the representatives of Republic of Moldova and Ukraine on the problems and future goals in the energy sector.
