Right now, we are at the 25th Jubilee edition of Competition CaFÉ dedicated to the Final Conference of the European Union s Project “Support for the Competition Council”.
The event was launched with a welcoming word by Mrs. Viorica CĂRARE, President of the Competition Council and His Excellency Ambassador Peter MICHALKO, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova. Later Mrs. Andreea COMÅžA, Project Manager from the Lead Company of the Consortium, Archidata presented some introductory remarks.
In the first part of the conference Mrs. CĂRARE spoke about the importance of European technical assistance for competition in the Republic of Moldova. The main results for the Competition Council as beneficiary of the “Competition Council Support” Project.
In the second part of the event, the project leader, Dr. Heinrich HOELZLER, will present the main results of the project and their impact on the competitive environment in Moldova.
This project was planned for a period of 2 years and was aimed at supporting the Republic of Moldova in achieving the competition objectives set out in the chapter of competition law and policy of the DCFTA (Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area EU-Moldova).
The general objective of the project was to improve the enforcement of competition law and regulations in the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, this program also pursued a specific goal consisting of two parts:
1. Improving the institutional capacity of the Competition Council;
2. Increasing the competitive culture in the Republic of Moldova.
