9 June 2025, Chisinau — The President of the Competition Council, Alexei Gherțescu, and the Rector of Moldova State University, Dr., Professor Igor Șarov, signed an interinstitutional partnership agreement aimed at strengthening academic and professional cooperation in the field of competition.
The agreement provides for the development of a sustainable framework of cooperation between the two institutions, with a view to promoting a culture of competition, strengthening the theoretical and practical training of students, and implementing joint applied research projects in areas such as competition, State aid, commercial advertising, the regulation of railway transport services, and unfair commercial practices.
Through this partnership, the Competition Council aims to actively contribute to the development of a new generation of specialists in key areas relevant to the national economy, by offering students concrete opportunities for professional internships and involvement in research activities.
The agreement reflects the commitment of both institutions to developing a sustainable partnership through the promotion of applied knowledge, support for legal and economic education, and active involvement in training future professionals capable of responding to the challenges of an evolving market.
