Recently, the World Bank has published the news on selection of winners in the Contest ĂœThe Actions in the promotion of competition for 2013.

     In this context, the Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova was selected for Honorable entry in the category ĂœRaising awareness of involved parties from the private sector and consumers’ ability to discourage anti-competitive practices

    The aim of this contest was to highlight the role of competition in promoting competition culture. During the contest were presented success stories by competition authorities around the world, including the Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova.

     Success stories have focused on the activities conducted by the competition authorities to promote and encourage a competitive business environment, not by constraint mechanisms but by promoting relations with other public entities and increasing awareness of the society vis- à -vis the benefits competition.
